The HR/Office Manager is responsible for supporting the agency by driving culture and supporting all areas of Human Resources. The HR/Office Manager will work with the Executive Team to refine and implement HR strategies that align with the organization’s business strategy and objectives. The HR Manager must be highly credible, approachable and experienced at providing advice and counsel to both managers and employees. The HR Manager is expected to be a trusted advisor to management and an employee advocate and have the experience and judgment to balance the needs of both.


The HR/Office Manager is responsible for implementing HR programs, which include: employment, employee benefits, compensation and pay practices, management and employee training and placement, succession planning, organization and management development, employee relations, and aligning them to HR and business strategies. This role requires broad HR knowledge and skills:

  • Perform a wide range of tasks to support the entirety of the employee life-cycle
  • Develop HR tactics to drive business objectives and lead change as required
  • Provide guidance to Executive Team on HR related issues and recommend appropriate actions based upon business needs and strategies
  • Execute a talent strategy that drives execution of business strategies & ensures a pipeline exists to support future needs
  • Manage seamless execution of orientation and on-boarding of new hires
  • Conduct exit interviews for all employees, identifying trends and sharing insights with Executive Team
  • Manage payroll and benefits administration, proactively resolve issues and answer questions
  • Accurately create employee contracts, paperwork related to payroll, status change forms and other associated paperwork
  • Prepare various HR reports as needed
  • Bring creative and innovative ideas to the table surrounding HR process, HR services, retention and employee programs
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, company policy and communication
  • Become familiar with company policy, provide insight on topics that cover a full range of HR related issues, and respond to inquiries in a timely and service focused manner
  • Oversee execution of employee programs

Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 4-6 years of HR experience
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred
  • Discretion, diplomacy, client service orientation and a high degree of professionalism are required
  • MS Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • A team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail required, with the ability to juggle multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Positivity, humor and collaboration are required
