Overview
Saltwater is looking for a skilled Account Manager to manage and lead multiple client engagements. You’ll be the driving force behind client relationships and project success—serving as both the primary point of contact and the person ensuring timelines, budgets, and creative output stay aligned and on track.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage complex projects with grace, and is just as comfortable presenting to clients as they are reviewing creative deliverables for accuracy.
You’ll report to the Director of Account Management and, if assigned to an AOR client, work closely with an Account Director who oversees the broader client relationship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own multiple integrated campaigns or projects simultaneously—from kickoff to delivery
- Serve as the client’s day-to-day contact on all assigned projects
- Partner with Project Managers to develop detailed project plans, timelines, scopes of work, budgets, briefs, and documentation
- Collaborate with Account Director to implement strategic marketing efforts with the objective of improving Client performance, strengthening client relationships and seeking out account growth
- Monitor project health and proactively manage scope creep, escalating early to leadership when needed
- Maintain clear and consistent communication across internal teams, external partners, and clients
- Manage and report on budgets and burn. Complete monthly billing.
- Oversee contracts, invoices, and vendor relationships as needed
- Conduct final QA checks before any work is presented to the client
- Support team culture by being a collaborative problem solver and steady presence under pressure
- Perform additional agency duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ years in a marketing agency environment, with experience as an Account Manager, Producer, or Project Manager
- Experience in managing large accounts and navigating complex client engagements
- Strong understanding of advertising (traditional and digital), media plans, creative production, and emerging technologies
- Experience in working across multiple disciplines—creative, media, UX, dev, tech, and strategy
- Strong time management skills and thrive in dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—able to work with all personality types and keep the vibe calm and productive
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, rich media, and digital builds
- A sharp eye for detail and a high standard for quality control
- Knowledge of social, web, mobile, and marketing best practices
Nice to Have:
- Experience with tools like Slack, Trello, Notion, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of QA best practices and content management systems (CMS).
- Comfort with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional team structures.
